An island in the river (the green alien in the map) is illuminated.
Bamboo lanterns reminds us of Higashiyama Hanatoro.
And the same lanterns as we find in Kamogawa are available.
The tower was constructed for the deceased fishes in the 13th century.
中ノ島を進んでいくと、浮島という島に至ります。写真奥に見えるのは十三重塔という塔です。13世紀に魚の霊を弔うために建立されました。江戸時代に宇治川の氾濫に際し、沈んでしまい、1907年に引き上げられ、現在に至ります。

Koshoji Temple 興聖寺

Last year, the entrance fee was 500 yen.
Koshoji is a quiet Zen temple in UJi founded in 1233. You could find what Zen is.
In Kyoto, the night illuminations of temples are always crowded. On the other hand, this place is so tranquil and you can enjoy a temple as it is. One of my favorite places.
You’ll find Gyoban there (the photo is Goyoban of Genko An) . Monk hit it to tell what time it is.
And Koshoin has a Chitenjo. Chitenjo is a ceiling with blood stain of Samurais. The Chitemjo of Kosyoin used to be a floor of Fushimi castle. In 1600, Torii Moto Tada and his collogue made Seppuku there. Some temple made their ceiling with the boards of the floor for the Kuyo of the deceased. Kuyo is a deeds for the peace of the deceased in heaven.
Kofukuji is indicated as the red alien.

The building of the power plant is illuminated.
