#3 Kitano Tenmangu shrine 北野天満宮
Overview
Kitanotenmangu enshrines the Deity of study and very popular for students. Adjacent to the area of it, there is Odoi. Odoi is a bank made by Toyotomi Hideyoshi to tell the inside and the outside of the ancient Kyoto city. Today, we can enjoy autume foliage on it.

北野天満宮の紅葉
At Kitano Tenmangu shrie, we can admire very vivid red and vermilion leaves.
Adjacent to Kitano Tenmangu shrie, there is a Kamiyagawa river and its bank. On the bank, we have a good view of the halls of the shrine with autumn leaves.
Illumination
At night time, the autumn leaves are dimly illuimated. Many illumination events are usually artificial but it is not the case with the illumination in Kitano Tenmangu.

#4 Kinkakuji temple 金閣寺
Overview
Kinkakuji, also known as the Golden pavilion, was built in the 14th century by Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, the 3rd Shogun of Ashikaga Shogunate.
The building in gold is called Shariden. It is plastered with genuine gold and a typical architecture of Kitayama culture.
Shari-den
In front of Shari-den we have a few maple trees in our sight.
We can have a front view of Shari-den behind the fence. There usually many people around the fence. Just wait there and you can have a good veiw of Shari-den.
On the other hand, behind the Shari-den, there are many maple trees.
Behind the Shariden, there are a samll hill. From there, Shari-den seems as though it floated among the maple trees.
The approach
In Kinkakuji is famous for Shariden but we can also enjoy amazing autumn colors at its approach.

#5 Ginkakuji temple 銀閣寺
Overview
Ginkakuji is also known as the Silver pavilion, was built in the 15th century by Ashikaga Yoshimasa, the 8th Shogun of Ashikaga Shogunate. On the contrary to Kinkakuji, it has never been plastered with silver.
Around Kannnon-den
After the entrance of the garden, we have a fornt veiw of Kannnon-den, also known as Ginkakuji temple.The peculiar thing in the garden is that we never lose the sight of Kannnon-den.
In the front view, there are many pine trees.
On the other hand, in side and back view, there are many beautiful trees. The maple trees in Kinkakuji and Ginkakuji are planted in the same technique: To focus on Shari-den or Kannnon-den, there are a few maple trees in front of them.
In the garden, there are also many pine trees and a few maple trees.
On Tsuki machi Yama
On Tsuki machi Yama, a hill in the garden, we have good view of the whole garden.
