Overview
Konkai Komyoji is also overlooked place as Shinnyo-do temple, i.e., we can enjoy autumn leaves in calmness.

- Dates 11/15～12/5
- Open hours 10:00～16:30（Entrace closes at 16:00）
- Entrance Fee : Mieido, Daihoji, Garden (御影堂・大方丈・庭園) 1,000 JPY Sanmon Gate (三門)：1,000 JPY, Special ticket (All of them) 1,600 JPY
The autumn leaves
Sanmon gate 三門
Sanmon is a main gate of Buddhist temple. At Konkai Komyoji, we can adore the leaves in stunning red.
At twilight, we have incredible view against the setting sun.
At night, I cannot describe to you how beautiful it is.
Officially announced! We have illumination in 2018!
The garden
We excercise one of the most amazing Mizukagami in Kyoto.

- Open hours 17:30～20:30（Entrance closes at 20:00）
- Entrance Fee : Mieido, Daihoji, Garden (御影堂・大方丈・庭園) 1,000 JPY
- Premium Haikan ：1,500 JPY
Premium Haikan: We can visit these places 30 minutes earlier on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Make reservation at Konkai Komyoji website (In Japanese).
The illumination in Konkai Komyoji is really beyond description and we have one of the best illumination in Kyoto but it didn’t take place in 2017. We have no information about this year.

#5 Komyo-in temple 光明院
Overview
Komyoin is a sub-temple of Tofukuji temple. It has a beautiful Zen garden composed by Mirei Shigemori, the famous garden artist in the 20th century.
The sign board in the photo tells “If you could’t behave yourself, LEAVE HERE. We believe in you.”
Of course I believe in you, too!
Zen garden 波心庭
The best place to admire Zen garden in complete calmnsee with Autumn foliage. If you were there, you couldn’t say a word because of the calmness in there.
Tea room 両行庵
The small hous indicated with an arrow. I can’t tell whether we could be there or not.
At least, in 2017, we were able to be there and had a good view of the garden.
The approach
At the aprroach, we have pale vermilion leaves. The leaves, white pebbles, pine trees, and stones are well harmonized.
