When do we visit Ryoanji temple?
Spring
In spring time, we have two kind of cherry blossoms. We can see both of them at the same time only in a week. They are in bloom in late March or early April.
Outside of the wall, cherry blossoms fell on maples.
Autumn
In antumn, maples lure many people into Kyoto. Ryoanji temple is one of the best places to visit.
On the other side of the garden, we have a stunning view, too.
In snow
Very rare occasion. We have 1 or 2 snowing days in Kyoto.

Access to Ryoanji
From JR Kyoto station
Take kyoto municipal subway. On the platform #2, take a train for Kokusaikaikan.
Get off the train at Imadegawa sta.
Pass through the entrance #3 and take a bus at Karasuma Imadegawa bus stop as indicated on the map.
Take off the bus at Ryoanji mae bus stop as indicated on the map.
From Keihan Gion shijo sta. and Hankyu Kawaramachi sta.
Take bus #59 at Shijo Kawaramachi bus stop.
Take off the bus at Ryoanji mae bus stop.
